Darkwoods Coffee // El Placer IPA



This coffee is from Sebastian Ramirez at his Colombian farm, El Placer. It’s undergone a 200 hour anaerobic honey fermentation with added yeast and hops to produce an IPA like character. Coffees like this can sometimes be totally unbalanced and overwhelming but this coffee is a feat of processing innovation, it’s delicious, complex and a treat to enjoy.

Think a tropical hazy IPA, pine, forest fruits. This kind of experimental coffee processing tastes intensely different to more traditionally produced coffees and well worth a try if you haven’t had anything like it before.
